Most memorable business travel experience:
“I was quite intimidated by my first business trip to the NYC tri-state area. I had a non-stop flight from Honolulu and had to figure out how to get from LaGuardia to Connecticut. I had no idea how far the airport was from the office, and since these were the days before the Internet, was challenged to find the right on-site assistance to book a roundtrip shuttle. How much easier it is to get insider or even colleague assistance now that there's e-mail and Internet tools (like GetThere)!”
Favorite destination:
“I travel quite a bit, but if I had to choose just one destination a year for business, it would be a different business-oriented city per continent per year, because business travel around the globe is so different. Our tools have to anticipate those traveler and travel program needs.”

“My first visit to Uruguay. After spending several days in Montevideo interviewing, a friend and I decided to stay an extra night and drive to the Punta del Este resort area. We were expecting a sleepy, quaint beach, but as we rounded a curve we were greeted by the site of an area that looked like Miami Beach. We were stunned by its beauty and really enjoyed our short stay.”
